This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Frankenstein. They each display quotes that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This one is of Frankenstein’s Creature.
I printed some out in A4 for my students but they look pretty good in A3 as eye-catching wall displays. Reproducing them in A5 is ideal for individual student revision booklets.
Please note that if you have any problems downloading the PDF file, you can email me at wezcartoons@gmail.com and I will send you the file direct.
Possible class activities include asking the students to link each of the quotes or comments to a given theme and then explaining why it is significant. Parts of the poster can be blanked out (using correction fluid and photocopying, or by uploading onto a Powerpoint slide and covering parts using shapes) and the students can then be asked to fill in the gaps. Alternatively, the posters can serve as inspiration for the students to create their own versions for other characters and/or texts.
Victor, Robert Walton, Elizabeth Lavenza, and Justine Moritz are currently also available with Henry, Alphonse, Caroline, and the DeLacey family on their way very soon. When the series is complete I will release it as a bundle so you can save some money.

There are seven characters featured in this bundle: Dean; Jordan; Julius; Killa; Poppy; The Dead Boy; The Pigeon.
Each poster features multiple relevant quotations linked to character traits. These traits serve as the ‘point’ in a PEE/PEAS/PETER style response.
The posters work equally well in A3 and A4 and you could even miniaturise them further to serve as individual GCSE revision sources.
The posters can be bought individually on TES but this bundle will allow you to save £4. Another bundle (Bundle ‘A’) is also available, featuring Harrison, Lydia, Mamma, Miquita, X-Fire, and Auntie Sonia.
Apologies for needing two bundles but TES won’t allow all thirteen resources in one. The only other option is to contact me privately but I’m not sure TES allows that. Feel free to look for my Insta.
This is from a series of posters I have created for revision of the characters in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam.
This poster is of Benjamin, Boxer’s faithful donkey friend. Featured in the background is a reminder of who Benjamin represents: the intellectuals who stood by and did not oppose Stalin, the elders who had reached an age where it didn’t matter so much to them, and arguably the Mensheviks. I have included reminders of Orwell’s allegory in all of the posters in this series.
Individual student booklets can be made by printing these out in A5, while A4 versions are ideal for general class use. If you’re wanting to display them, they look really good in A3.
As well as display, the posters can be given as a task for students to build on the quotes, linking each one to specific themes in the novel and/or explaining why the trait if the character is significant. Another common use is to inspire students to make their own for other characters.
Files included in your purchase are pdf and jpeg, plus a picture-only version.
Other characters available individually OR as a money-saving bundle are Mr Jones, Old Major, Napoleon, Squealer, Snowball, Moses, Mollie, and Boxer.

This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam. This poster is of Boxer. The people represented by the character of Boxer are also visible in the background, to remind students that Boxer is an allegory for the Russian labourers or peasant workers - the proletariat. I have done this for each of the characters in this particular series.

Printed in A5, these posters can be made into individual student booklets, while A4 versions are ideal for general class use. For display use, they look good in A3.

This resource is a series of cartoon posters showing AQA GCSE 9-1 English Language Assessment Objectives.
It comprises a Powerpoint featuring 18 posters - nine of these have the AOs in basic form, for ease of understanding; the remaining nine posters feature the AOs in their original form. Downloading the Powerpoint means you will have the opportunity to print as many of these out as you wish, at whichever size you wish - depending on the limitations of your printer.
The font I originally used, and which is featured on one of the photos, is Marker Felt. You may need to download this free from the internet if you want the posters to look identical to mine.
I recommend laminating them for long term use, and they look particularly effective when cut out.
This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Romeo and Juliet. They each display quotes that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This one is of Romeo Montague.
I printed some out in A4 for my students but they look pretty good in A3 as eye-catching wall displays.
I will be uploading Juliet, Tybalt, Mercutio, Nurse, Friar Lawrence and Benvolio so please look for those if you wish to have the complete set.
Other sets available: Frankenstein; Blood Brothers; An Inspector Calls; (Macbeth coming soon) .

This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Macbeth. They each display quotes that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This one features King Duncan.
I printed some out in A4 for my students but they look pretty good in A3 as eye-catching wall displays. Similarly, you could reduce them to A5 and provide them as revision booklets.
I will be uploading Lady Macbeth, Banquo, Macbeth, Macduff and The Witches so please look for those if you wish to have the complete set.
Other sets available or coming soon: Frankenstein; Blood Brothers; An Inspector Calls; Romeo and Juliet.

This is from a series of posters I made for the revision of the characters in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam. This poster is of Malvolio.

This is from a series of posters I have created to support revision of the characters in George Orwell’s Animal Farm. This poster is of Snowball, with the image in the background serving as a reminder of who he represents: Trotsky. I have included reminders of Orwell’s analogy in all of the posters in this series.
These turn out well regardless of the size in which they are printed. A5 are useful as individual booklets for students, while A4 seem the best for general class use. If using for display, they look great in A3.
Teachers have used these posters in a number of different ways. It can be really effective to ask students to make links between each trait or quote and a given theme of the novel. Explaining what is significant about the quotes and comments in the poster means they practise expanding on their answers and gain a deeper understanding of what the writer has intended. They’ve also been used to inspire students to make their own posters for other characters and/or other texts.
The files included in your purchase are jpeg and pdf, plus a picture-only version. Please note that if you have any trouble with the pdf not downloading in colour, you can contact me at wezcartoons@gmail.com so that I can email you the file.

Requests are also taken. Coming soon will be additional characters for Frankenstein, more Shakespeare plays, and Lord of the Flies.
This is from a series of posters I made for revision of the characters in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. They each display quotes and comments that would be useful to revise for the GCSE exam. This poster is of Justine Moritz.
I print them in A4 for general classroom use, but A3 make for eye-catching displays, and A5 are useful to make up individual student revision booklets.
Students can be asked to link each of the quotes or traits to a given theme, explaining why it is significant, or they can be encouraged to revise other characters and/or other texts by creating their own versions of this poster. You could also blank out parts of the poster and ask students to fill in the missing pieces. (I would do this by uploading the jpeg on to a Powerpoint slide and using the ‘shapes’ tool to cover up the parts you want them to figure out. Alternatively, do it the analogue way and use a photocopier and some white-out fluid).
NOTE: If you have any issue downloading the .pdf file, please email me at wezcartoons@gmail.com so that I can send the file direct.
Other characters available at the moment are Elizabeth Lavenza, Robert Walton, The Creature, and Victor Frankenstein. On their way are Alphonse, Caroline, Henry Clerval, and the DeLacey family. I’ll be releasing a bundle as soon as the series is complete.

Aimed at low ability class as introductory lessons, before they start to read the Philip Pullman playscript. Intended to lead to the question 'Who is the real monster in Frankenstein?'.
